Clarithromycin Tablet: Usual Adult Dose: 250 mg to 500 mg (with or without food) every 12 hours for 5 to 14 days.
In Children ≥12 years old (who can swallow tablets whole): Follow adult dosing: See Table 3.

Clarithromycin Extended-Release Tablet: Clarithromycin Extended-release tablets should be taken with food and should be swallowed whole and not chewed, broken or crushed.
Usual Adult Dose: 500 mg once a day.
In more severe infections, the dosage may be increased to 1000 mg (2 x 500 mg) once a day..
The usual duration of treatment is 5 to 14 days.
In Children ≥12 years old (who can swallow tablets whole): Follow adult dosing.
Clarithromycin suspension may be given with or without food, or with milk. (See Table 4.)
